At the agency, I managed three primary websites and also handled one-off tasks across several additional projects.
For example, on ssauto78.ru, I built the entire /novosti/ section from scratch. The previous contractor left a custom WordPress theme without any blog functionality, so I had to figure out the implementation on my own — piece by piece, without external help or AI tools. Eventually, I delivered a fully functional news module integrated cleanly into the site’s structure.
For islandsoul.us, I worked on building the navigation menu, blog, GBP, Google Merchant, improving load speed, and creating several custom sections. At that point, I didn’t yet understand the e-commerce space well, so some of my actions were inconsistent. Still, it became a valuable learning experience that helped me understand how online stores actually operate on a technical level.
My core project, though, was MGM – the one where I had full ownership and where the most meaningful organic results came from.
Mercury Glass&Mirrors

Mercury Glass&Mirrors was the first website I fully managed back when I worked at a marketing agency.
It’s a Miami-based glass contractor focusing on B2B projects and custom fabrication.
What I Did
- Ran a full technical SEO audit using Screaming Frog and supporting tools (Seolik, Be1, Xtool) to identify crawlability, indexing, and on-site quality issues.
- Cleaned up and reconfigured the XML sitemap (Yoast).
- Rewrote and optimized meta titles and descriptions for all service pages based on intent and SERP patterns.
- Implemented schema markup across service pages, the blog, and the homepage to improve rich-result eligibility.
- Conducted a competitor gap analysis to understand what content, queries, and assets we were missing.
- Built initial backlinks through PRPosting and niche/citation submissions.
- Optimized and maintained the Google Business Profile.
- Performed keyword research, mapped search intent, and aligned pages with their target queries.
- Delivered thorough on-page optimizations (content, internal linking, headers, UX elements).
- Improved site speed with LiteSpeed optimization.
- Handled “a little bit of everything”: ongoing page building, cleanup, troubleshooting, and day-to-day SEO micromanagement.
Results
- Scaled from 0 to 8–12 leads per month.
- Brought in two major B2B clients through organic channels.
- Reached positions 3–5 for priority keywords such as glass railings, mirror cut to size, glass cut to size, glass panels, and others.
- Achieved Top 3 for the high-intent keyword glass company in Miami, Florida.
- One of our blog posts was featured in Google Discover, giving us a significant visibility boost.
Conclusion
This was my very first solo SEO project, and I was working on it while managing two other accounts.
With what I know now, I’d approach many things differently — but the project delivered consistent results despite the constraints.
Today the site is in rough shape – looks like it was passed to someone who doesn’t really prioritize performance, so the quality has dropped noticeably.
